Ford is going to present a new car model that will shake all auto industry. Its powerful engine based on modified Twin Independent Variable Cam Timing. Thus new Mustang turns out 305 horse powers with 280 lbs.–ft. torque. Its engine capacity is 3.7-liter.
For 2011, Mustang’s new 3.7-liter Duratec 24-valve V-6 uses advanced engineering to deliver its power and economy: Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing adjusts the valvetrain in microseconds. Aluminum construction means light weight. It’s an engine designed to crank out torque down low and rev to an eye rolling 7,000 rpm.
In addition to the new engine, Ford announced that all future Mustangs will benefit from a six-speed transmission in automatic or manual. The transmission promises to deliver a significant boost in efficiency.
Additional changes include dual exhaust, revised suspension, Electric Power Assist Steering (EPAS) system and larger disc brakes.
Ford Mustang V6 is expected to go to production in the 2011.
